Vicky Martín Santamarta has worked as a translator since 2003. She is currently an English teacher at secondary schools in Barcelona, as well as a writer and translator of fantasy fiction.

Before “Chronicles of Leshy,” she wrote the Barcelona-based dystopia "Vida Súbita" (2008) and the young adult fantasy novel "Quiritare" (2013), both of which remain unpublished.

Her literary reviews, short fiction, and poetry have appeared in online magazines and blogs such as Vísperas, Liberoamérica, Salto al Reverso, Trama Editorial, Barcelona Review, and on her own blog textosensolfa.com.
