Morning Coffee, Agent Notes, and the Upcoming Eclipse

This Saturday morning, the 8th of August, begins with a fresh cup of coffee and a welcome task: assembling the profile for my newest client, Larry.
As I gather the final missing pieces for his page, I am taking a moment to reread the biographies of all the authors under my banner. It strikes me what a vibrant, diverse brood I represent. I sit here and imagine them scattered across the globe, having their own morning coffee, staring out their respective windows as they write.
What do they see, I wonder?
Here is what I see out of mine: a line of trees, their leaves tinged brown from the intense heatwave we are experiencing here in Barcelona. The Mediterranean Sea sits just a twenty-minute bike ride away, offering the promise of a cool breeze.
Reading through my “Agent’s Notes,” a distinct pattern emerges. It feels as though I have met each of my clients over countless shared coffees. While they come from different backgrounds and write in entirely different worlds, they all share one undeniable trait: immense, captivating talent.
To my authors: I am fiercely proud of the work you do. It is a profound honor to act as your agent.
While the Wild Goose Agency is still on a brief summer hiatus, the excitement here is building. We are just days away from the solar eclipse! I am currently on the hunt for a pair of special viewing glasses. We are slated to get 99.7% visibility right here in Barcelona, so I am hoping for clear skies.
My coffee is finished, and the day is calling. Enjoy your own coffee, and happy writing and reading, wherever you are in the world!
