Daniel Fielding is a British middle-grade author, educator, and historian. A graduate of History from the University of Central Lancashire and the University of Birmingham, he combines a love of folklore, local history, and storytelling to create imaginative adventures for young readers. He lives in Lancashire, where he continues to work in education and heritage-related projects.

To truly evaluate Daniel’s middle-grade fantasy, I decided to slip into the mindset of a child just a little younger than my own granddaughter. From the very first page, I absolutely luved every single word.

Before officially bringing him on board, however, we had to clear the air on a very serious historical matter: his ancestral roots are in Lancashire (the Red Rose), while I am proudly from Yorkshire (the White Rose). Thankfully, we decided to call a permanent truce to the War of the Roses.

His magical storytelling was more than enough to bridge the ancient divide, and I am absolutely delighted to welcome him to the agency.
